Split House
Split House is a private residence in Mansouriya shaped by the challenge of limited access to natural light due to its site conditions. The design introduces a strategic split in the front elevation to reduce perceived mass and draw indirect daylight deep into the interior.
Vertical light wells are incorporated to extend light to the rear of the house, creating brighter and more balanced interior spaces across multiple levels. Curved architectural gestures reinforce the primary split, softening the volumes and enhancing the sculptural quality of the elevation.
Paper wall treatments are used to highlight key architectural elements, including the split and the staircase volume, reinforcing the clarity of the design moves while creating a refined and contemporary residential environment.
