Peristyle Arcade

Tucked away in the basement of Crystal Tower in Downtown Kuwait City, an undulating wall of skin toned tetrahedrons fold inwards leading shoppers to an arcade dedicated to start up boutiques. The name Peristyle is a nod to Roman or Greek arcades lined with columns, while also relating to fashion in the abstract scenes.

The carved entrances, along with custom made brass lighting fixtures drop from a faceted ceiling mimicking stalactites usually found in caves. The walls facing the mall are kept solid, adorned with glass reinforced gypsum tetrahedrons painted in varying shades of nude. The glass storefronts and interiors are kept minimal to stand in stark contrast with the outer wall of the arcade.
