Babnimnim Design Studio (BNN) was established in 2010 by Architect Jassim Alsaddah in Kuwait, after he graduated from the Architectural Association in London. The studio’s aim is to create designs of international standard, emphasizing a focus on design details and branding simultaneously, from conception to implementation.

The choice of ‘Bab’ which is Arabic for door, reflects our belief in the importance of defining space via architectural elements that are both functional and expressive, much in the same way our ancestors did - thereby reflecting an intuition and ingenuity which we seek to sustain through our design work in the present.

‘Nimnim’ derives from the Kuwaiti word meaning small - detailed object(s), usually beads and other jewelry items. The choice of ‘nimnim’ reflects our passion for defining even the smallest details in any project.

Babnimnim’s design ethos revolves around detail, both pragmatically and creatively. With a focus in creating innovative approaches to unique designs with an emphasis on quality of construction. Our approach is carried through a methodical analysis of the needs of each project and

creating a comprehensive totalitarian rendition of the design. Aesthetics play an integral role in our creations where each decision made is meant to showcase our capability of producing a unique and appealing final outcome.

Since its inception, BNN has established a presence in the region, as a detail-oriented design firm especially after finalizing a number of projects ranging from the commercial, residential, public sector and hospitality with a focus on architecture and interior design.

We have just celebrated our 10 year anniversary, with a team that has grown to 15 hard-working individuals.

Projects done by BNN include Dar Hamad restaurant which is a stand-alone building, that showcases Kuwaiti hospitality through its food and design, re-interpreting local Kuwaiti aesthetic heritage that is embedded in its architecture and interiors. In 2017, BNN was commissioned to create the brand identity along with the interiors of a home accessories store / restaurant hybrid which later became known as Sum+Things, the first of the its kind in the region, located in Boulevard Strip Mall, Riyadh, KSA. Recently, BNN completed a proposal for North Nugra Complex renovation in Kuwait, Mamluki Lancet Mosque and the Arch Mosque in Kuwait and Bahrain respectively. Other notable projects BNN has completed across the region are AlSaddah Grand Mosque Kuwait, Loft Restaurant & Ristretto Coffee Bar Kuwait, Al Tujjar Tower Kuwait, Aseel Residential Resort in KSA, and The International Investor Head Office in Kuwait, with a variety of private residences.
