For their third branch, the new salon is located in a small two-storey commercial building between the homes of a residential area. The aged travertine of the commercial building’s exterior is extended to the new facade of the salon. Curved edges are introduced on one side of the window insets to soften the edges. Privacy of the customers is essential, hence the application of sand-blasted acrylic tubes, mimicking the pleats of a curtain, were used to cover the whole area of the window openings from the inside. The repetition of the acrylic tubes was then extended with the same diameter chrome tubes as a wall application within the interior.
