Zaki

F&B
Area: 37 sqm.
Location: Hawally, Kuwait
Status: Completed
Year: 2018

Zaki draws inspiration from Jordanian cuisine and culture, with carved feature walls and arched forms that echo the region’s architectural heritage. Designed by Babnimnim, recognized among the leading interior design companies in Kuwait, the compact shawarma shop is cleverly divided into three interconnected zones. These zones serve different functions but remain visually connected through cutouts that double as ordering and pick-up windows. Golden wireframe archways mark the storefront, guiding visitors into the space. Terrazzo flooring wraps up the walls to frame the kitchen window, placing the shawarma process at the heart of the experience. Branding is thoughtfully integrated through engraved logos and repeated patterns from the arches and carved walls—elements that also extend into the shop’s packaging. The project reflects a considered approach to restaurant interior design in Kuwait, where cultural storytelling and functionality come together seamlessly.
